See which maintenance shops near your home airport have hangar space open, how active they are, and what other owners say about them. Pick an opening and send a request with your tail number.
A shop adds openings in its dashboard, or connects a calendar from Google, Outlook or Apple and Open Hangar keeps it in sync. Direct links to maintenance software are coming.
Enter your home field, your aircraft make and the work you need. You see real openings, each shop's reviews, and how recently it's been active.
Your request goes to the shop with your N-number, make and squawks. When they accept, the bay is booked and you get an email. After the work, you can leave a review.
Empty bay days cost you money, and owners call around for weeks trying to find space. Open Hangar shows your free capacity to aircraft owners in your area.
Open Hangar connects aircraft owners who need maintenance with nearby shops that have room to do it.
When an annual comes due, most owners start calling shops one by one. Many are booked months out, some never call back, and the ones with room are hard to find.
Meanwhile, shops lose money every day a bay sits empty, often just because the right owner didn't happen to call that week. Nobody had one place that showed which shops have room.
For owners: search by home airport, aircraft make and the work you need. You see real openings, reviews from verified visits, each shop's Google rating, and how active the shop is. Then send a request with your tail number and squawks.
For shops: post open days by hand or sync a calendar you already keep. Requests arrive in a private inbox, and you approve every booking.
Owners of piston singles and twins, turboprops and light jets, and the shops that keep them flying: A&P/IA shops, Part 145 repair stations, FBO maintenance and avionics shops.
Open Hangar is new, and we're adding shops airport by airport. If your shop isn't listed yet, send them our way.
What we collect, why, who sees it, and how to have it removed. Effective November 4, 2026.
Google ratings and reviews are loaded from Google and covered by Google's Privacy Policy.
We use one cookie to keep you signed in. It's required for the site to work and isn't used for tracking. Your browser also remembers your last search (home airport, radius and filters) on your own device, so you don't have to retype it.
We keep your account and requests while your account is open, so you and the shops you work with have a history. Sign-in sessions expire on their own, and password-reset links expire within an hour. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove it and your personal details. Reviews you wrote stay up without your name, or we can remove them if you ask.
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and secure sign-in cookies. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information. If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top, and tell you by email if the change is significant.

Owners see this next to your listing. Replying to requests quickly and keeping openings current makes your shop look active.
Make a calendar just for open bay time in Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar, add an event for each opening, and paste its secret iCal address here. Each event becomes an opening, and Open Hangar checks for changes every 30 minutes.
